No matter where you are in the world right now, if you happen to hear something that resembles ecstatic screaming in the background, it's the sound of Massive Attack fans reacting to the announcements of the band's upcoming live shows. Athens just screamed its share at the news of the Bristol legends' return after 10 years. Release Festival, who has already opted for a metal 2020 summer, announced that Massive Attack will perform at Water Plaza on June 20 with more acts to be announced for the day. The band is currently touring their critically acclaimed reconstructed version of their timeless 1998 masterpiece, Mezzanine, while also figuring out a way to make concert touring more environment friendly. Starting this year, Release Festival has also committed to green editions by using biodegradable materials and renewable energy sources. Need we say, do not miss out on this?
Update: Release Festival 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19. Massive Attack have been re-booked for 2021. All 2020 tickets apply for 2021. More information on vouchers and refunds will be announced soon.
