THE INVISIBLE MUSEUM

The Invisible Museum is the successful action of the National Archaeological Museum, that displays selected antiquities from the world of warehouses. Every two months an object is presented to visitors for the first time and unfolds the narrative of its unknown history. 

After 14 objects that have been presented so far, the Athenian Museum welcomes the "Sophie Schliemann Trojan Collection". Clay vases, tools, micronutrients and marble figurines found in the excavations of Henry Schliemann in Troy in the 1870s and donated after his death by Sofia Schliemann to the National Archaeological Museum. 

The "Trojan Collection of Sophia Schliemann", will remain there at “Alta Hall” until Sunday July 30, 2017. 

On 14, 16 and 23 July at 13.00, museum archaeologists welcome visitors to the exhibition and talk to them about the discovery of Troy, Priam’s treasure and the adventures of Trojan Collection of Henry and Sophie Schliemann, who is divided into major Museums of the world.
