Salzburg Marionettes

The famous Salzburg Marionette Theatre will be at "Megaron" Athens Concert Hall with the fresh, cool breeze of the Alps, the scent of Austrian mountain plains in bloom and, naturally, its incomparable skill that for 100 years has been fascinating young and old throughout the world. Don't miss the famous Salzburg Marionettes from 5 to 9 March in Athens, Greece.

The Salzburg Marionette Theatre will give audiences the chance to sing their favourite songs from the timeless Sound of Music, while ballet lovers will be able to enjoy The Nutcracker in the Athens Concert Hall's Dimitris Mitropoulos Auditorium.

The Salzburg Marionette Theatre is the largest and oldest such theatre in the world. In 1913, Austrian sculpture teacher Anton Aicher, a lover of opera, presented a small opera by Mozart using marionettes he had made himself before a group of friends. Its success was huge and thus the Salzburg Marionette Theatre was born.

The famous Salzburg Marionettes will be at the Megaron, Athens Concert Hall with beloved pieces from Sound of Music and The Nutcracker from 5 to 9 March.
